Today was an exciting day! First I had another fun time feeding my kid. Then I rode Bella, Ally's horse. Then I went in the pasture to ride Patches but she tried to run away... with me on her! So instead of doing a slow rack or trot she decided to gallop! We also learned how to show goats. Today my team's chore was cleaning pastures with steven and Anna Marie.

I love it here! There's so many things to do! I will definetly come back next year. Today my team(team one)got to do trail work. The new trail is looking great. We also got to shear an alpaca! It was very hard to catch but after that it was pretty easy. We also had to clean angora goat fiber. It was hard because the water burned my hands. I also made a great friend! Her name is Hannah.

I will be attending a 4-H Farm Camp in August.
While there I will learn things from tacking up and riding a horse...

to learning about processing & cleaning Angora Goat Fiber.
I will also be assigned a dairy goat; which I will be responsible for milking, feeding, everyday care & even learn how to show her.
And don't forget... I'm also assigned my very own "kid" (baby goat) for the week!

I will learn how to make blacksmith items in a forge
and even make cheese, butter, and ice cream.
I'll learn about bees and get to make my own beeswax lip balm.
And of course... much, MUCH more!
I'm going to have so much fun and I can't wait for the week to start. I will even be keeping my own blog updated for the week. Please follow my blog so you can see all the things I'm doing and learning.
We can even come to family day on the farm...for free! I know that I'll want to introduce all my family to each of the animals on the
farm.
